City shares ADA accessibility survey results

Ozark officials have published a summary of the recent community ADA accessibility survey, thanking residents for taking time to respond. The survey gathered feedback on how easy it is to navigate public spaces, parks, facilities and city services, with the goal of making buildings, sidewalks and programs more welcoming for everyone.

The city says the input will guide future projects and budget decisions, from improving entrances and restrooms to reviewing signage and parking. Residents are encouraged to keep an eye on upcoming meetings and updates as specific improvements are prioritized over the coming months.

Community Awards Banquet set for tonight

Later this evening, neighbors will dress up for the 2026 Ozark Community Awards Banquet at the Ozark Community Center. Hosted by the local chamber, the event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and will recognize businesses, volunteers and community leaders who have gone above and beyond during the past year.

Honors such as Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year and other community awards are expected to highlight people who have given time, talent and resources to support Ozark. The banquet also features fundraising elements and a chance for residents to connect with one another in a more relaxed setting.

Schools wrap up Counseling Week and look ahead

This week, the Ozark School District has been observing National School Counseling Week, recognizing the work counselors do to support students’ academic planning and mental health. While the weeklong recognition winds down, families can look ahead to a few key dates on the district calendar.

Students and staff will have Presidents’ Day off on February 16, giving families a mid-month break. The district’s Board of Education is scheduled to meet the evening of February 24 at the Ozark High School Innovation Center, where board members will continue discussing programs, staffing and facilities for the remainder of the school year.

February events on the city calendar

The city’s February calendar is filling up with chances to get out of the house. Next weekend includes Kids Night In at the community center, offering elementary-age children an evening of games, swimming and supervised fun while adults enjoy a night out. A community conversation event on February 14 will give residents a chance to hear updates and share ideas with city leaders.

Later in the month, city hall will close for Presidents’ Day on February 16, followed by a Board of Aldermen meeting on February 17 and a Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on February 23. Parks and recreation staff are also promoting special family programs, including a Mom and Son Date Night planned for February 28.
