Parma fuel watch: sub-$3 regular at local pumps, diesel in low $3s
Two Parma stations list regular at $2.89 and diesel around $3.14-$3.15, far below Idaho’s AAA average of $4.559 and $5.537 on May 8 for local drivers.
Parma drivers can still find a clear fuel-price break at the pump: MapQuest lists regular gasoline at $2.89 at a Chevron on East Grove Avenue and at a Phillips 66 on Highway 20/26, with diesel posted at $3.14 and $3.15. Those are individual station listings, not a citywide average.
That puts Parma well below Idaho’s latest AAA average of $4.559 for regular and $5.537 for diesel on May 8. AAA’s national average is also higher, at $4.546 for regular and $5.663 for diesel. On a 15-gallon fill-up, the Parma regular price would save about $25 versus the Idaho average, while diesel would save about $36.
The federal Energy Information Administration’s May 5 fuel update put U.S. regular gasoline at $4.452 a gallon and on-highway diesel at $5.640, another sign that local shoppers are still seeing much cheaper posted prices than the broader market backdrop.
That spread matters most for commuters, contractors, delivery drivers, farm and service fleets, restaurants, and small businesses that buy fuel often. Even a small gap per gallon adds up fast when vehicles are filling up every few days or running long routes.
For Parma households and travelers, the takeaway is simple: compare before you buy. Diesel shoppers especially should shop around because state averages remain far above these local listings. Share the highest and lowest local pump prices you are seeing.
