Domestic Shooting Leads to Two Deaths and One Injury

On Tuesday morning, a tragic domestic shooting occurred on Brentwood Drive, resulting in the deaths of a young woman and her mother, and the injury of a third individual. The suspect, believed to be related to the victims, died by suicide after the incident. Nearby schools were placed on lockdown during the investigation.

Police-Involved Shooting Near Big Beaver Road

Later that day, a 25-year-old Detroit man was shot by a Troy police officer after allegedly attempting to flee a traffic stop in a stolen vehicle near Rochester and Big Beaver Road. The suspect remains hospitalized in stable condition, and the officer involved is under investigation by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Arrests Made in Auto Theft Investigation

In a separate incident, Troy police arrested two men in connection with a large auto theft ring operating throughout southeastern Michigan. The suspects were found with numerous key fobs and cash. A third suspect remains at large, and the investigation is ongoing.
