Pedestrian dies after Algonquin Road crash

Rolling Meadows officials have confirmed that a 70-year-old resident, William Capozzielli, has died after being struck by a vehicle on Algonquin Road near Meadowbrook Industrial Court earlier this week.

The crash happened Wednesday morning in the 2700 block of Algonquin Road and led to long closures in both directions as investigators worked at the scene. The driver stayed on site and is cooperating with the investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.

Park district leans into a busy winter weekend
