Santa Rosa’s New Courthouse Begins Felony Calendar Operations

Santa Rosa’s new Sonoma County Hall of Justice reached its latest operating milestone on August 3, 2026, when felony calendars in four judicial departments and two master calendars began operating at the courthouse at 625 Administration Drive.

The change affects defendants, attorneys, jurors, witnesses and other court users with matters assigned to those calendars. Anyone scheduled to appear should confirm the current courthouse and courtroom with the Superior Court of Sonoma County before arriving.

Felony and master-calendar assignments

Felony calendars for Departments 1, 2, 3 and 4 are assigned to Courtrooms 51, 53, 52 and 54, respectively. Master calendars for Departments 9 and 15 are assigned to Courtrooms L1 and L2.

Courtroom and judicial-officer assignments can change. The court’s relocation information and case-specific notices should be treated as the current source for appearance details.

Relocation happened in stages

The August 3 transition followed earlier moves. Clerk offices and traffic calendars moved to the new courthouse effective July 20. On July 27, the court moved misdemeanor, Care Court, juvenile dependency, drug court, probate and mental-health calendars.

The court lists criminal, probate, traffic, juvenile dependency, jury services, records requests and collections among the services available at the new courthouse. Civil and family-law operations remain separately identified by the court, so the relocation should not be read as a move of every Sonoma County court function.

The Hall of Justice is located at 625 Administration Drive, Santa Rosa, California 95403. The court says free public parking is available adjacent to the courthouse. Accessible parking is near the main entrance, with additional parking within walking distance.

For court users with relocated matters, the practical change is the hearing location and the location of related services. The August 3 move is an operational step in the court’s staged relocation schedule, not a change to criminal law or a ruling in any individual case.

A six-story, 15-courtroom facility

The Judicial Branch of California describes the new Hall of Justice as a six-story courthouse with 15 courtrooms and approximately 167,147 square feet. Its project record lists an authorized budget of $231,719,830 and an occupancy date of August 3, 2026.

People with upcoming hearings should verify the latest calendar, courtroom and arrival information through the Sonoma County Superior Court because assignments and operating details may change.
