Water Street entertainment district pitched for 2027 groundbreaking

New plans unveiled for downtown Tampa include a proposed entertainment district near Channelside, with a 3,500-seat live music and performance venue, a roughly 250-room hotel, and about 100,000 square feet of dining, retail, and entertainment space, plus parking. If it moves forward, the project would add another activity hub near Water Street and could reshape how event nights spill into nearby blocks.
