The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. when a 58-year-old man was struck by a Chevrolet Traverse while riding west on West Shore Road. The driver, a 61-year-old Warwick woman, was turning left into a gas station when the collision happened. The cyclist was transported to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition. Authorities are investigating the cause and urge witnesses to come forward.
