White Cloud Public Schools opens unlimited 2026-27 Schools of Choice enrollment through Aug. 28

White Cloud Public Schools is accepting an unlimited number of eligible students from outside the district for the 2026-27 school year through Michigan’s Section 105c Schools of Choice program.

The White Cloud Board of Education approved the district’s unlimited K-12 participation. For qualifying families, the decision creates an additional public-school option. For the district, it opens the enrollment period to applications for any number of eligible students rather than setting a stated numerical cap.

Applications are open through Aug. 28

The continuous application window opened June 1, 2026, and runs through Aug. 28, 2026. The program covers students in grades K-12.

Eligibility is tied to a student’s home district. Applicants may be students who live in a district within an intermediate school district contiguous to Newaygo County RESA, according to White Cloud Public Schools’ Schools of Choice information.

District will issue decisions in September

White Cloud Public Schools must mail or otherwise communicate acceptance or non-acceptance notices on or before Sept. 14, 2026. That is the next stated deadline for families who submit applications during the June-through-August enrollment period.
