Delaware State Police Investigate Armed Robbery and Carjacking
Wilmington, DE — January 30, 2026 — Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery and carjacking that occurred on Wednesday night in Wilmington. At approximately 8:30 p.m. on January 28, two male suspects approached a man seated in his Toyota Corolla at a shopping center in the 1900 block of Maryland Avenue. Armed with handguns, the suspects ordered the victim out of his vehicle, stole cash from him, and drove away in the car. The victim was unharmed. About an hour later, troopers spotted the stolen vehicle near East 27th Street and Rosemont Avenue. The suspects fled on foot, leaving the car behind. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are seeking information from the public. Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact Detective D.
