Fast-food site on Balls Lane marketed to investors

A Bojangles restaurant property on Balls Lane, on Zanesville’s east side, is being marketed for sale as a fully built retail site. The 2,880-square-foot building sits along a busy commercial corridor with nearby shops and services, and is being promoted as a street-retail investment opportunity.

While the listing is aimed primarily at investors, it underscores how the east side commercial strip continues to draw interest from regional and national brands. Any future changes in ownership or use at the site would still move through the city’s normal zoning and permitting channels.

Secrest Auditorium books acrobats and classic standards

Downtown’s Secrest Auditorium is lining up big-name entertainment for late winter. Later this month, the Peking Acrobats are scheduled to bring a family-friendly mix of tumbling, cycling, and high-flying stunts to the stage.

In March, entertainer Tony Danza is slated to appear with a show built around classic standards and storytelling. Both events are part of a broader push to keep a steady stream of concerts and touring productions in the city’s largest performance hall.
