Fatal Collision on Rancho Vista Boulevard
On Sunday, January 25, 2026, at approximately 7:10 p.m., a tragic two-vehicle crash occurred near Dunbar Street in Palmdale. A 2019 Audi RS3 collided with a 2004 Scion xB, leading to the death of the Audi driver and major injuries to the Scion driver. The collision took place on Rancho Vista Boulevard, a busy east–west arterial road in the Antelope Valley. Preliminary investigations suggest the Audi was traveling east at a high rate of speed when it struck the Scion, which was in the No. 1 lane. Both vehicles lost control before coming to rest. The driver of the Scion was transported to a local hospital with major injuries, while the driver of the Audi later succumbed to their injuries. The Palmdale Sheriff’s Station is actively investigating the incident and is seeking witnesses to assist in the ongoing investigation.
