Garland Gas Prices Edge Higher as Dallas-Area Diesel Tops $5

Garland’s lowest listed regular-gas price edged higher on July 29, 2026, while the Dallas metro diesel average moved further above $5 per gallon.

The lowest regular-gas price listed for Garland was $3.69 per gallon at Sam’s Club, according to a station snapshot updated at 9:24 p.m. CT. That is a membership price. Murphy USA was the next-cheapest listed non-membership chain at $3.74, followed by 7-Eleven at $3.77, RaceTrac at $3.78 and QuikTrip at $3.79.

The $3.69 figure is not a citywide average. It represents the lowest listed price among the Garland stations shown in the snapshot, and station prices can vary by location and change during the day. Compared with the previous same-site check, the lowest listed Garland price rose from about $3.672 to $3.690 per gallon.

Diesel rises to $5.147 in the Dallas metro

AAA’s July 29 Dallas metro table listed regular gasoline at $3.642 per gallon and diesel at $5.147. The diesel average rose 5.4 cents from the previous day’s $5.093.

That $5.147 figure is a Dallas metro average, not a Garland station-specific diesel price. AAA’s comparison data showed the metro diesel average at $4.957 a week ago, $4.155 a month ago and $3.232 a year ago.

Regular gasoline in the Dallas metro was listed at $3.642, compared with $3.705 a week ago, $3.162 a month ago and $2.902 a year ago. That places the current metro regular average below the week-ago figure but above the month-ago and year-ago comparisons shown by AAA.

For commuters and households, the small increase at the low end of the Garland station listings makes comparing prices worthwhile, especially for drivers filling larger vehicles. Membership pricing can also affect which station is cheapest for a particular driver.
