Antelope Valley College Lists August 3 Financial-Aid Disbursement for Palmdale Students

Antelope Valley College’s Summer 2026 financial-aid schedule lists Monday, August 3, as a disbursement date. For eligible Palmdale-area students, any remaining refunds from that disbursement are scheduled to be transmitted through BankMobile Disbursements on Friday, August 7.

The dates are planned processing dates, not a guarantee that every student will receive money on August 7. Students must meet eligibility requirements, and incomplete aid files, enrollment status, late-start classes, award timing and outstanding college balances can affect the amount or timing.

What was scheduled for August 3

AVC’s Summer 2026 schedule lists August 3 for Pell adjustments, the second 50% Pell payment, scholarships, campus program aid and loans.

The college distinguishes between disbursement and refund release. AVC defines disbursement as turning a financial-aid offer into a payment on a student account. The college says disbursements first cover outstanding balances due to AVC. Any remaining financial-aid refund is transmitted through BankMobile Disbursements on the following release date.

For the August 3 schedule entry, that release date is August 7. A refund is not the same as the full award amount, and not every student will receive a refund. Aid may first be used for enrollment fees and other outstanding balances on the student’s college account.

What Palmdale students should check

Students can review award information through their My AVC account. AVC directs students to open the Financial Aid area under the account’s Tools section, select Final Aid Awards, choose the current aid year and open the Award Overview tab.

Students expecting a remaining balance should also confirm their BankMobile refund preference. AVC says refunds are delivered through BankMobile Disbursements, and students may choose an external account instead. The college says an email is sent to the student’s AVC email account whenever a refund or disbursement has been processed.

The schedule is directly relevant to Palmdale residents because AVC lists a campus at 2301 East Palmdale Blvd. Student-specific questions about eligibility, missing paperwork or delivery timing should be directed to AVC Financial Aid through the college’s official channels.

Enrollment changes can affect aid

AVC warns that students who drop classes, withdraw from all classes, or stop attending all classes and receive failing grades may be required to repay some or all of the funds they received for the semester.

That warning is conditional. The schedule does not establish an individual repayment amount or mean repayment is certain for every student who changes enrollment. Students should check with Financial Aid before making an enrollment change when possible.

Federal withdrawal rules provide additional context

The U.S. Department of Education’s 2026-27 Federal Student Aid Handbook explains how schools manage federal Title IV aid when a student completely withdraws from a payment period or period of enrollment. Federal Student Aid says the updated Return of Title IV Funds requirements apply to students who withdraw, otherwise cease attendance or begin an approved leave of absence on or after July 1, 2026.

Those federal rules provide general context. They do not determine what AVC will calculate for any particular student; the student’s enrollment, attendance, aid type and account record remain important.

The August 3 disbursement date has passed, while the scheduled August 7 release is two days away as of Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
