Pomona Moves $56,928 for Police and Fire Station Upgrades
Pomona City Council approved a budget and capital-improvement-program amendment March 16, 2026, moving $56,928 in general funds to energy-efficiency upgrades at the Pomona Police Station and Fire Station 181.
Resolution No. 2026-56 removes the money from the city’s FY2025-26 general-fund operating budget and appropriates the same amount to CIP Project 71119. The council action also amends the city’s agreement with Allegiance Electric Inc.
The decision directs city funding to energy-efficiency work at two Pomona public-safety facilities. The approved record does not describe the specific upgrades, state the project’s total cost or estimate how much energy the work is expected to save.
Timing and completion remain unclear
The city documents do not say whether work has begun or been completed. They also do not provide a construction schedule, completion date, later expenditure report or update on the project’s progress.
The March 16 council action and the related agreement amendment are the latest documented steps in the approved source packet. It does not identify a specific next construction, reporting or payment date.
The action is a budget transfer and project authorization, not an announcement of a new police or fire station. Further details about the work and its timing would need to come from a later city project, contract or expenditure update.
