Aurora gas and diesel prices keep easing, with south Aurora near $3.62 regular
AAA’s Denver-area regular and diesel averages eased again, while a south Aurora station is still showing a regular price near $3.62 for drivers.
Regular gas eases again
Aurora drivers are getting a modest break at the pump. AAA’s latest Denver average shows regular gasoline at $3.741 a gallon on June 20, down from $3.784 on June 19. It is also lower than last week and last month, even though it remains above the year-ago mark.
For commuters and households, that means fill-ups are still a budget item, but the daily drift is moving the right way. Small changes can add up over a month of school runs, work commutes, and weekend driving.
Diesel is easing too
Diesel in the Denver area is also moving lower. AAA’s June 20 reading puts diesel at $4.492, down from $4.552 a day earlier. Like regular gas, it is below last week and last month, but still higher than a year ago.
That still leaves diesel as the pricier lift for contractors, delivery drivers, landscapers, small fleets, and other heavy-fuel users. Even a small move matters when a vehicle burns through gallons every day.
AAA’s Denver figure is a metro average, not a citywide Aurora average. The station checks below are the better guide for what is posted in town right now.
Local price checks still vary
One south Aurora benchmark comes from the Maverik at 5880 S. Elk Way, where regular is listed at $3.619 and diesel at $4.549. That gives drivers a useful local comparison against the metro average.
Another nearby stop, Sam’s Club Fuel Center at 6201 S. Aurora Pkwy, is showing unleaded at $3.339 and premium at $3.969. The regular-price gap between those south Aurora stops is about 28 cents a gallon, a reminder that shopping around can still pay off.
Nationally, the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s June 16 update puts regular gasoline at $4.052 and on-highway diesel at $5.059. The Denver average is still below those figures, which helps explain why fuel remains a real cost for families and businesses across the region.
For now, the practical takeaway is simple: regular gas is drifting lower, diesel is easing too, and station-to-station shopping still matters. If you are filling up in Aurora this week, it is worth checking a couple of stops before you choose a pump. Share the highest and lowest prices you are seeing around town.
