Delaware County outage delayed Media courthouse filings and phone lines
A Delaware County network disruption delayed courthouse business in Media and affected county phone and internet access across multiple departments, according to WPVI/6abc. Residents told the station they could not complete routine court-related business, including a motion filing, because the internet was down.
The county’s own site still carried an “Internet Outage” notice on July 1. Its phone directory said non-emergency county phones were again operational, but also warned that some network issues may persist.
The Office of Judicial Support lists its filing office at Government Center, 201 W. Front St. in Media, which is the main county court-business location affected by the disruption. For residents, lawyers, and others with deadlines, the practical takeaway is to check county status before heading in.
