Cape Coral police say a man has been arrested in connection with a fatal two-vehicle crash reported around 1:05 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, near Beach Parkway West. Investigators said one vehicle ended up on its side with occupants trapped, and an adult female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. An adult male driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, and a child from the other vehicle was evaluated.
Police said the driver they arrested, Tyler Paul Janson, faces DUI manslaughter and other DUI-related charges. The investigation remains active.
