Emergency sewer repair work shifts into a repaving phase
Drivers near downtown Chandler should expect continued lane restrictions at Delaware Street and Chandler Boulevard. The city says Chandler Boulevard is open through the weekend, with repaving starting Monday morning, March 2, and one lane open each way while crews work. Delaware Street will also have restrictions tied to the paving work.

- March 3–4: westbound right lane closed on Chandler Blvd; southbound Delaware Street closure
The work is tied to an emergency sewer line repair, and the city says water and wastewater services will remain operational during construction.
Freeway travel note for the Price/Santan interchange area
State transportation officials are also reminding East Valley drivers that the southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) primary ramp to eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) in Chandler has been in a two-week closure window that’s expected to wrap up next weekend (March 7–8). If you’re commuting across the interchange, plan a little extra time until the restriction clears.
Chandler Museum announces a new Eddie Basha exhibition opening March 10
Looking ahead to spring, the Chandler Museum is set to open ‘Being Eddie Basha’ on March 10. The exhibit focuses on the life and local impact of Eddie Basha and is scheduled to run for about 16 months. Admission is free, with regular museum hours listed by the city.
PIP Coffee + Clay opens a new downtown Chandler spot
A new mixed-use cafe and ceramics studio has opened at 44 W. Erie St., bringing coffee service alongside pottery classes and workshops. The space also includes a small resale boutique and is described as an adaptive-reuse project just north of downtown.
Weekend community health event brought screenings and activities to Chandler
Community organizers hosted the Arizona Black Family Health and Wellness Expo on Saturday, Feb. 28, at a Chandler church, featuring free health screenings, workshops, and fitness activities. Organizers described the goal as connecting families with practical, culturally relevant health resources.
