Chandler’s weekend roundup is a mix of road work, a fresh downtown opening, and a new museum exhibit arriving soon.

1) Chandler Blvd at Delaware: repaving starts Monday

After an emergency sewer line repair, Chandler Boulevard at Delaware Street is open through the weekend, but a new phase of work begins Monday morning (March 2). The city says one lane will remain open in each direction during repaving, with additional restrictions on Delaware Street to keep crews moving.

Looking ahead, drivers should plan for a westbound right-lane closure on Chandler Boulevard March 3–4, plus a southbound closure on Delaware Street during that window.

2) PIP Coffee + Clay opens in downtown Chandler

A new multi-use space has opened at 44 W. Erie St., combining a café with a ceramics studio offering wheel-throwing classes and hand-building workshops. The concept also includes a small resale boutique with designer, vintage, and upcycled clothing, adding another reason to linger near downtown.

3) Chandler Museum previews ‘Being Eddie Basha’ exhibition

The Chandler Museum is set to open a new exhibition on March 10 that explores the life and community impact of Eddie Basha. The show is slated to run for about 16 months at the museum at 300 S. Chandler Village Drive, and admission is free. Museum hours are Tuesday–Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday 1–5 p.m. (closed Mondays).
