Clarksville families can use extended pool weekends after the regular season ends
Clarksvilleโs regular public-pool season ended Sunday, August 2, but swimming will continue on weekends at two city pools through September 6.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation lists an extended season at New Providence Pool and Swan Lake Pool from Saturday, August 8, through Sunday, September 6, 2026. The schedule is for weekends only, with posted hours of 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Two pools remain open on weekends
Extended-season swimming will be available at:
- New Providence Pool, 168 Cunningham Lane
- Swan Lake Pool, 2022 Sanders Road
The cityโs aquatics page identifies those two pools as the locations for the extended season. The schedule does not continue public swimming at all Clarksville pools, and the extended-season listing is not a weekday schedule.
Admission is $4 for all-day access
Admission is listed at $4 for all-day access. Children under age 1 are listed as free.
Visitors should check the cityโs aquatics information before leaving for the pool in case hours or availability change.
Every guest needs a CivicRec account
Clarksville Parks and Recreation says everyone, including children, must have a CivicRec account to enter the pool. The city presents the requirement as a condition of pool access for all guests.
Regular season ended August 2
The city lists the regular 2026 pool season as May 23 through August 2, with regular hours of 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The weekend-only schedule at New Providence and Swan Lake provides additional public-swimming dates after that regular season ends.
For Clarksville families looking for public swimming after the regular season, the current city-posted options are New Providence and Swan Lake on weekends from August 8 through September 6, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with $4 all-day admission and a CivicRec account required for every visitor.
