The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory lit up Friday night as R&B artist Miguel brought his CAOS Tour to Irving. The show drew regional fans to the Las Colinas entertainment district, with doors opening early and nearby restaurants seeing a steady pre-show rush.

City officials have continued to position Toyota Music Factory as a major draw for touring acts, and this weekend’s concert added to a busy spring lineup at the venue.

Stamp & Scrapbook Expo Fills Convention Center

Just down the boulevard, the Irving Convention Center hosted the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo on Friday and Saturday. The two-day event featured workshops, vendor booths and hands-on crafting sessions inside Halls A and B.

Organizers reported strong attendance as hobbyists from across North Texas gathered for classes and product demonstrations. Events like this continue to highlight the convention center’s role in bringing specialty expos and niche gatherings to Irving.

Irving Marathon Weekend Approaches

Meanwhile, attention is already turning to next weekend’s 14th Annual Irving Marathon, set for March 28 and 29 at Toyota Music Factory and throughout Las Colinas.

The marathon, half marathon and shorter race options are expected to draw runners from across the country. The course will wind through the canal area, Lake Carolyn and surrounding business districts. Residents can expect temporary road closures and increased foot traffic as race weekend approaches.

With large-scale events happening back-to-back, March is shaping up to be one of Irving’s busiest months of the year.
