Utility Billing Changes on the Way

Coppell residents can expect a smoother experience paying utility bills soon. The city announced plans to roll out a new online payment and account management portal designed to expand payment options and improve ease of use.

The updated system will support features like autopay by card, e-check payments, phone and text-to-pay options, and guest checkout. City officials say more details, including a launch date, will be shared before the transition takes effect.

Sidewalk Repairs Moving Through Key Corridors

Crews are actively working across Coppell to address sidewalk tripping hazards. The city has contracted with Precision Concrete Cutting to smooth uneven sections along major roads, including MacArthur Boulevard and Sandy Lake Road.

The work is being completed in short phases and is scheduled during approved daytime construction hours. Each section is expected to take only a few days, with minimal disruption for pedestrians and nearby neighborhoods.

Street Maintenance and Long-Term Road Care

Alongside sidewalk improvements, Coppell continues its partnership with Dallas County on asphalt street maintenance. The ongoing effort focuses on extending the life of local roads rather than full reconstruction, helping manage costs while maintaining drivability.

Some projects are nearing completion as the city moves into early 2026, with drivers advised to remain alert in active work zones.

Planning and Zoning Meeting Ahead

Looking ahead, the Coppell Planning and Zoning Commission has its next regular meeting scheduled for February 19 at City Hall. The commission reviews land use, zoning requests, and development plans before making recommendations to City Council.
