Fort Mitchell approves agreement to advance 203-unit senior-living project at former Drawbridge Inn site
Fort Mitchell approved an interlocal agreement with the Kentucky Bond Development Corporation during a special meeting on July 24, 2026, advancing the financing process for The Ormsby, a planned senior-living development at the former Drawbridge Inn site.

What Fort Mitchell approved
Under the interlocal agreement, Fort Mitchell will serve as the bond originator. According to the city administrator’s explanation, the city will bear no financial liability for the bonds. That distinction means the action should not be described as city debt or as a taxpayer-backed obligation.
The city will contract with Dan Blank, and his fees will be paid from bond proceeds. The agreement therefore moves the project forward through a municipal bond-development process while leaving the timing and final financing status of the proposed construction unspecified in the available report.
