Attempted-murder arrest tied to December assault investigation

Fresno police say a man was arrested Feb. 24 on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a Dec. 27, 2025 disturbance near North Maroa Avenue and East Shields Avenue. Investigators say the victim suffered severe head injuries and was hospitalized, and a juvenile suspect was arrested earlier in the case. Police have identified the adult suspect as Joseph Dominguez.

Fatal crash reported in Fresno County near Kingsburg

CHP and emergency crews responded Feb. 23 to a collision involving a motorcyclist and a garbage truck at Temperance and Clemenceau avenues, northwest of Kingsburg. Authorities said the motorcyclist died at the scene, and drivers were asked to avoid the area while investigators worked to determine how the crash unfolded.
