Hollywood Weighs Taller Development Along Hollywood Beach

That commitment provides a separate example of city-backed development and housing investment. It should not be read as funding attached to the proposed Hollywood Beach zoning change.
The next known decision point for the beach proposal is approval by the Hollywood City Commission. Until that occurs, the city is weighing whether taller coastal development can produce enough investment and public benefit to justify changes that residents fear could alter Hollywood Beach’s established character.
