Election Day headaches spill into Irving

County leaders said they’re seeking a formal review of what went wrong, as voters pushed for clearer, more consistent polling-place information before the next election dates arrive.

Thunderstorms rolled through North Texas Wednesday evening, March 4, bringing severe-weather alerts and flash-flood warnings that included Irving. Emergency officials urged drivers to avoid flooded roads as heavy rain closed some streets, and power outages climbed across the region.

City notice: CDBG applications available March 2

The city’s Housing and Redevelopment Division has opened Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) public-services applications for eligible nonprofits serving low- to moderate-income Irving residents.
