1) Officer-involved shooting investigation

Lincoln Police say an officer responded to an overnight alarm near the Office Depot at 333 N. 50th Street and encountered a suspect near the back dock area. Police allege the suspect fired at the officer, who returned fire. The suspect was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and police said he will be jailed on multiple charges once released. The officer was not hurt, and an investigation is continuing.

2) Fire destroys rail bridge near downtown; collapse reported

A railroad bridge just west of Pinnacle Bank Arena caught fire early Monday and collapsed, according to officials. No injuries were reported, and the bridge was described as a total loss. Authorities said the area includes a known homeless encampment, and the investigation is ongoing while the rail line is shut down.

3) Crime Stoppers: hit-and-run and robbery leads sought

Crime Stoppers is asking the public to help identify suspects in two separate Lincoln cases: a hit-and-run reported in north Lincoln and a gas station robbery.
