State girls basketball tournament pairings set for Lincoln

The girls state basketball tournament field is officially set, with games running March 4 through March 7 in Lincoln. The bracket release locks in a busy week downtown, with multiple sessions at Pinnacle Bank Arena and additional games at other Lincoln sites.

Several Lincoln-area teams are in the mix. In Class A, Lincoln North Star opens Wednesday afternoon against Millard North, and Lincoln Southwest draws Kearney later that day. Nebraska women open Big Ten tournament play Wednesday

Nebraska women’s basketball begins postseason play Wednesday, March 3, facing Indiana in the first round of the Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis. Tipoff is set for 2:30 p.m. Central at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Nebraska enters as the No. 12 seed and Indiana as the No. 13 seed. The winner advances to meet Ohio State in the next round. For fans watching from home, the opening-day games are slated to stream on Peacock.

Broadway season at the Lied Center: Hamilton headlines 2026-27 lineup

The Lied Center has announced its 2026-27 Glenn Korff Broadway Series, led by the return of Hamilton. Also on the season list are Shucked, Water for Elephants, and Clue, plus a fifth show that is expected to be announced later this spring.

Season packages start at $249, with public sales slated to begin March 9. A few add-on events are also planned, including Riverdance and a concert featuring Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp.
