A 7-Eleven at 9100 FM 306 in New Braunfels listed regular gasoline at $3.569 per gallon and diesel at $4.859 per gallon in the latest available price check. The station page said its fuel prices had been updated within 24 hours.
Those figures are a station-level snapshot, not an average for all of New Braunfels. Prices can vary by location, brand, payment method and corridor, so drivers should compare several stations before filling up.
Regular gas was below the comparison averages
AAA listed the Texas regular-gas average at $3.630 on July 31. The Austin-San Marcos metro average was $3.597, providing a nearby broad comparison for New Braunfels.
The FM 306 station was about 6 cents below the statewide average and about 3 cents below the Austin-San Marcos metro average. AAA’s metro data also showed regular gas moving lower than a week earlier, when the average was $3.762 per gallon.
Diesel was also below the AAA comparisons
The New Braunfels station listed diesel at $4.859 per gallon. AAA’s Texas diesel average was $5.042, while the Austin-San Marcos metro average was $5.117.
That placed the station’s diesel price about 18 cents below the statewide comparison and about 26 cents below the metro figure. The broader diesel trend was different from regular gas: AAA listed the Austin-San Marcos metro’s previous-week diesel average at $4.920, compared with $5.117 on July 31.
The fuel gap matters most to pickup and truck owners, contractors, delivery operators, landscapers, service businesses and other drivers who use diesel vehicles regularly. Diesel prices can affect the cost of work trips, delivery routes and equipment runs, although one station listing does not show what every local driver or business is paying.
What New Braunfels drivers should watch
For commuters and households, the latest check shows one FM 306 station priced below the major AAA comparison averages for both fuels. Weekend travelers and visitors using the FM 306 corridor may see a different price at another station, particularly when loyalty discounts or other promotions apply.
