North Carolina opens infrastructure grant program covering Henderson County

Henderson County is eligible to seek infrastructure grants through North Carolina’s new Renew NC Community Infrastructure Program, but the state has not announced a Henderson-specific award or a project selected for funding.

NCDOT also said an interchange addition connected with that work is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. The traffic-pattern change is separate from Renew NC and is not identified in the approved material as a City of Henderson project.
