North Las Vegas, NV — January 31, 2026 — The North Las Vegas Police Department is accepting applications for a new session of its Hispanic Citizens Academy, aiming to strengthen community relations and provide Spanish-speaking residents with insights into law enforcement operations. The program offers participants a comprehensive understanding of police procedures, fostering transparency and trust within the community.
Program Details
The Hispanic Citizens Academy is designed to engage Spanish-speaking residents in meaningful dialogue with law enforcement officials. Participants will learn about various aspects of police work, including:

- Community policing strategies
- Crime prevention techniques
Sessions will be held weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, starting March 3, 2026, and concluding on April 28, 2026. The academy will be conducted in Spanish to ensure accessibility for all participants.
