Olathe Planning Commission set to meet Aug. 10 on development schedule
Olathe’s Planning Commission is scheduled to meet Aug. 10, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Olathe City Hall, 100 E. Santa Fe St., as the city’s development-review calendar moves through Schedule K.
The schedule covers applications submitted by June 18 and sets several steps around the commission meeting. Planning Commission packets are scheduled to be posted Aug. 7, revised plans are due Aug. 11, a neighborhood meeting is scheduled for Aug. 18 and final staff review is set for Aug. 20.
What happens next
A related Olathe City Council meeting is scheduled for Sept. 2. That date is part of the development-review calendar, but it does not establish that a specific application will reach the council. Olathe says the City Council makes the final approval or denial decision on zoning and land-use matters.
The schedule does not identify which applications may be discussed at the Aug. 10 meeting or what recommendation the Planning Commission might make. The meeting is therefore a scheduled review step, not an approval of a development project. The Planning Department oversees growth and development review under the city’s Unified Development Ordinance.
