Omaha Teams Wrap Up Tournament Play as Spring Sports Take Center Stage

Omaha Hockey Concludes NCHC Tournament
The Omaha Mavericks closed out their run in the 2026 NCHC Tournament on Saturday, March 21. Omaha entered the quarterfinal round as the No. 8 seed and faced top-seeded North Dakota in a best-of-three series.
North Dakota advanced in the series, bringing Omaha’s postseason to a close. The tournament, held March 6 through March 21, marks the end of conference play as teams now await any potential national tournament opportunities.
March Madness Action Continues
The NCAA men’s basketball tournament moved into second-round play on March 21 and 22. Creighton advanced earlier in the tournament and remains part of the national conversation as the bracket narrows.
