Palm Bay Primary Election Enters Mail-Ballot Deadline Week

Palm Bay voters who want to vote by mail in the city’s municipal primary have until 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2026, to request a ballot. The primary is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, with polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Brevard County Supervisor of Elections says voters can request a mail ballot online, by phone at 321-290-VOTE (8683), or through one of the elections office’s administrative offices. The request deadline is separate from the deadline for returning a voted ballot. Voted mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Seats 4 and 5 are on the ballot

The Palm Bay municipal primary includes City Council Seat 4 and Seat 5. The official elections listing identifies the following qualified candidates:

Seat 4: Alfy Agarie, Michael J. Bruyette and Kenny Johnson.

Seat 5: Mike Jaffe, Eduardo Macaya and Santa Isabel Wright.

Early voting begins August 8

Early voting for the August 18 primary begins Saturday, August 8. The Supervisor of Elections says voters may cast ballots at any early-voting site during its operating hours. Current locations and hours, along with polling-place information, are available through the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections.

Top two advance to November

Palm Bay’s municipal election notice says the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes in each council contest will advance to the November 3, 2026, general election. No candidate has advanced yet; that will depend on the August 18 primary results.

For Palm Bay voters using mail ballots, the immediate deadline is 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6. The next scheduled voting opportunity is early voting beginning August 8, followed by Election Day on August 18.
