Spokane’s Annual Homeless Connect Event Provides Vital Services to Nearly 1,900 Residents
Spokane’s annual Homeless Connect event took place on January 29, 2026, at the Spokane Convention Center, offering essential services to nearly 1,900 individuals facing housing instability. The event provided a range of support, including:
- SNAP enrollment
- ID renewals
- Medical care
- Housing assistance
- Legal aid
- Free haircuts by cosmetology students
Organized by a coalition of local organizations, the event also offered pet services, winter coats, and support for those facing housing instability. Over 450 volunteers helped run 125 service booths, with organizers anticipating a larger turnout than last year. Attendees, including those recently housed, praised the event for offering dignity and critical resources. Planning for next year’s spring event has already begun.
