Weekend Crowds Fill Hart Park as Transit Updates Continue in Santa Clarita
Santa Clarita, CA – March 29, 2026 – Weekend events drew residents to Hart Park and Bella Vida as transit updates and spring programs shape the week ahead.
Santa Clarita closed out March with a busy weekend that highlighted both community spirit and ongoing city updates affecting residents.
Art Hop Brings Families to Hart Park
William S. Hart Park welcomed families Saturday for the annual Art Hop, a free spring festival centered on youth creativity. Student artwork, live performances and hands-on activities filled the park from mid-morning through early afternoon.
The event also featured a timed egg scramble for children, drawing steady participation and reinforcing the city’s push to expand low-cost, family-friendly recreation options in public spaces.
Vine 2 Wine Supports Local Health Services
Saturday evening, the SCV Senior Center at Bella Vida hosted Circle of Hope’s Vine 2 Wine fundraiser. The annual tasting event combined local food vendors, wineries and live entertainment to raise funds for Santa Clarita Valley residents facing cancer.
Organizers emphasized that proceeds remain local, helping families cover essentials such as rent, utilities and transportation during treatment. The event continues to be one of the valley’s signature nonprofit fundraisers, blending economic activity with direct community support.
Transit Schedule Changes Remain in Effect
Meanwhile, Santa Clarita Transit officials are reminding riders that schedule adjustments implemented earlier this month remain in place across several local and commuter routes.
The changes are designed to improve reliability and better align service with ridership demand. City officials encourage commuters to review updated timetables before the workweek begins, particularly those using peak-hour commuter lines.
As spring programming ramps up across parks, libraries and community centers, city leaders continue balancing recreation, transportation and public services during a season that traditionally brings higher activity across the valley.
