West Lebanon Main Street improvements near final wrap-up: paving left, next notice
The City of Lebanon says West Lebanon’s Main Street “West Improvements” reached substantial completion the week of July 13—paving dates are still being scheduled.
The City of Lebanon says the West Lebanon Main Street “West Improvements” project reached substantial completion the week of July 13, 2026 and is now approaching final completion.
In its July 17, 2026 update, the city listed the remaining contractor work it still wants completed, plus the key timing note many drivers and businesses are asking about: the city is coordinating paving dates, and it will issue a public notice once those dates are set.
What paving work is still listed as remaining
The City of Lebanon’s July 17 update says the remaining work includes paving on these West Lebanon Main Street areas:
- Tracy Street, including the Tracy Street/Maple Street intersection
- Atwood Avenue
- Railroad Avenue, including north Railroad Avenue to Commercial Drive and south Railroad Avenue to 8 Railroad Avenue
- Church Street West
No paving dates posted yet—watch for the next notice
The city is still working with the contractor to schedule that remaining paving. The City of Lebanon says that once the work has been scheduled, it will issue notice to the public.
How the project moved into “substantial completion” mode
This “nearing final completion” message is the latest step in the City’s weekly update sequence as work shifts from major construction to punch-list items.
In the City’s week of July 13 update (posted July 10), it said the contractor would continue addressing miscellaneous punch list items as the project approaches completion, with two-way traffic maintained whenever possible—but drivers should still expect delays and follow signs and flagger instructions.
Earlier, in the week of July 6 update (posted July 3), the City similarly described continued punch-list work while maintaining two-way traffic whenever possible, again warning motorists to expect delays.
Where residents should watch for timing updates
Because the city is still scheduling paving, the practical question for commuters, parents, renters, homeowners, and local businesses is: when will access shift again for these remaining paving areas?
The City encourages residents to subscribe to LebAlert updates (email/text), and it also posts periodic project updates to the project page and sends them to subscribers. The City’s Current LebAlerts page is also one place to watch for the latest active notice tied to this project.
Bottom line: even after substantial completion was issued the week of July 13, the project isn’t fully wrapped. Until the City of Lebanon schedules and announces the remaining paving, expect additional access changes—especially around Tracy Street, Atwood Avenue, and the listed stretches of Railroad Avenue and Church Street West.
