North Las Vegas Opens 2026-27 Affordable Housing Grant Applications

North Las Vegas has opened its 2026-2027 affordable housing grant application cycle, giving qualified organizations an opportunity to seek support for projects serving low-income residents.

As of July 26, 2026, the city is accepting applications tied to the federal HOME Investment Partnerships Program and Nevada’s Account for Affordable Housing Trust Fund. The city’s notice says the funding is intended for qualified organizations developing affordable housing projects for low-income North Las Vegas residents.

Two application deadlines are required

Applicants must complete a pre-application before submitting a final application. The pre-application deadline is Monday, December 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Pacific time.

The final application is due Thursday, December 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Pacific time. The pre-application is a required first step in the process.

The city says applications will be accepted and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to available funds. That language does not guarantee funding for every applicant.

Who may seek funding

The opportunity is aimed at qualified organizations pursuing affordable housing work in North Las Vegas. The related Clark County HOME/AAHTF program guide describes eligible nonprofit organizations operating within the Clark County HOME Consortium and says government entities, including housing authorities, may also apply in qualifying circumstances.

The guide explains that North Las Vegas is part of the Clark County HOME Consortium but implements its own HOME programs with oversight from Clark County. HOME and Nevada Account for Affordable Housing Trust Fund resources can support housing-related activities, including rental housing development and rehabilitation. Depending on the program and project, eligible activities can also include acquisition, new construction, and other affordable-housing efforts.

What the application means for residents

The grant cycle could help support future affordable rental or ownership housing in North Las Vegas, but it does not mean new units have been approved or are under construction. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development describes HOME as a federal funding tool used by local governments, states, and nonprofit organizations to expand affordable housing opportunities for low-income households.

At this stage, the city has not posted a total funding amount for the North Las Vegas cycle and has not announced which projects, if any, will receive awards. Applicants should treat the December deadlines as application requirements, not as a guarantee of funding.
