East Lake Community Resource Hub Opens in Chattanooga
Chattanooga’s first Community Resource Hub is operating in East Lake, offering free general access to city services, computers, kiosks, referrals, and partner resources.
Chattanooga’s first Community Resource Hub is operating at East Lake Community Center, giving residents a neighborhood location to find city services, use public technology, and connect with education, workforce, health, family-support, and community resources.
The city announced the opening on July 14, 2026, and held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 27 at the East Lake Community Center, 3601 Dodds Avenue. East Lake is the first operating site in a planned six-location Community Resource Hub network.
What residents can do at the East Lake hub
The hub is designed to help residents find information, submit city service requests, make payments, and access permits and applications. Public computers and self-service kiosks are available for online services and other common tasks.
The city also lists resource categories that include family support; adult education, GED and workforce resources; health and wellness information; technology access; community programs; and recreation. Residents can use the hub to explore assistance programs, job and education resources, digital-skills support, benefits information, and other community services.
Examples of listed partners and service areas include Tennessee Driver Services, Hamilton County Clerk tag and title services, WIC, NAMI Chattanooga, Tech Goes Home Chattanooga, Chattanooga State Community College adult education and GED support, Hamilton County Schools, and family-support organizations.
Hours, access and appointments
The East Lake Community Resource Hub is listed at 3601 Dodds Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37407. Current posted hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. The center’s phone number is (423) 643-6980.
Residents do not need an appointment to visit the community center, use general resource information, or access public computers and kiosks. General hub access is free.
That does not mean every partner service is available whenever the building is open. The city says partner participation and schedules vary by location. Services may be offered through onsite kiosks, scheduled office hours, workshops, referrals, or special events, and some programs may require an appointment.
Residents seeking a specific service should check the city’s current resource information or contact the hub before traveling. Requirements may vary by program and could include residency, income, age, identification, documentation, or an appointment.
Five additional locations are planned
The city lists five additional planned locations: South Chattanooga Community Center, Avondale Community Center, Chris L. Ramsey, Sr. Community Center, Carver Community Center, and Hixson Community Center.
The city’s current information does not establish opening dates for those locations. For now, East Lake is the network’s only listed operating hub. Details for additional sites are expected to be added as each location opens.
