For a household vehicle with a 15-gallon tank, a 16.1-cent weekly decline would amount to roughly $2.42 less for a full fill-up if a local pump price moved in line with the metro average. Actual savings vary by station, vehicle and purchase timing.

Diesel eased daily but rose from last week

Diesel dropped 2.5 cents from the prior day, when the Dallas metro average was $5.158. That also matched the decline from the previous same-site check. The weekly trend was different: diesel was up 16.3 cents from a week earlier.

The split matters because gasoline costs are felt most directly by commuters, households and weekend travelers, while diesel prices affect delivery fleets, contractors, landscapers, service companies, restaurants receiving regular shipments and other businesses that rely on commercial vehicles or equipment. One Frisco station shows a mixed picture

A 7-Eleven listing for 11655 Preston Road in Frisco showed regular gasoline at $3.459 per gallon and diesel at $4.999. The station page said its gas prices were updated within 24 hours.

That snapshot put regular gas below the AAA Dallas metro average and diesel below the metro average as well. It does not represent every station in Frisco, and prices can vary by location, timing, payment method and station competition. Drivers should treat the listing as one local reference rather than a citywide benchmark.

For now, the clearest pattern is that both fuels eased in the latest daily check, while their weekly movements remained different: gasoline continued to fall, but diesel was higher than a week earlier.
