Frisco fuel watch: regular gas still under $4, diesel near $5
Frisco pumps still show regular gas in the mid-$3s at some stations, but diesel is near $5 and AAA’s Texas and Dallas averages are higher.
Frisco drivers are still seeing a split fuel market. Regular gas is under $4 at some local stations, while diesel is already near $5, and AAA’s latest Texas and Dallas benchmarks are higher than both.
On the regular-gas side, the current Frisco station pages show prices as low as $3.359 on Eldorado Parkway, with other readings at $3.689 on Preston Road and $3.899 on Independence Parkway. That kind of spread can make a real difference for commuters and households filling up once or twice a week.
Diesel is tighter. Frisco station pages currently show diesel at $4.999 on Preston Road and $5.199 on Independence Parkway. AAA’s latest Texas check, dated May 10, shows $4.045 for regular and $5.087 for diesel. Dallas is at $4.079 and $5.133, both lower than yesterday but still above the cheapest Frisco readings.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration’s weekly gasoline and diesel update, released May 5, is another reminder that this is still a moving market. For contractors, delivery drivers, restaurants, and other small businesses that buy fuel every day, the difference between a cheaper Frisco station and a pricier one adds up fast.
If you are watching your fuel budget, the practical move is simple: check the posted grade, compare a couple of stations, and do not assume every Frisco pump is priced the same. Regular gas is still available below $4 in town, but diesel buyers should pay close attention to route and refill timing.
