Five people were taken to hospitals in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash around midnight Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, on State Highway 359 near Oil Patch Road in Laredo, local reports said.
Reports citing local police and fire department information said the five included three women in their 20s and two 18-year-old men. Three were taken to Laredo Medical Center and two to Doctors Hospital. Telemundo Laredo reported that the five remained in critical condition when it published its account; that does not establish their current condition.
Laredo police activated a crash team, and State Highway 359 was closed in the area while investigators documented the scene. The reports did not establish whether it has since reopened. KGNS reported that investigators had not disclosed the cause.
