The city says the closure is tied to construction for the South Norfolk Municipal Building Project, and a signed detour using Bainbridge Boulevard and D Street will be in place. If you commute through the area, expect extra time and watch for changing signage near the work zone.
Police seek suspect in Greenbrier-area credit card fraud case
Chesapeake Police are asking for help identifying a man accused of credit card fraud. Investigators say the suspect used a fake ID to open a credit card account in another person’s name and then made purchases at two stores in the Greenbrier area.
Anyone with information is encouraged to submit a tip through the city’s anonymous tip channels.
Neighborhood cleanup concerns raised on Tyre Neck Road
Residents near Tyre Neck Road say they are frustrated by a growing pile of discarded household items in a nearby yard, including large furniture and mattresses. Neighbors say they have contacted the city and are looking for enforcement or cleanup action.
