Suspect arrested after alleged crime spree ends near 75th and Glendale
Police say a 33-year-old suspect was arrested after a multi-city incident that ended in Glendale when a pickup truck allegedly rammed a patrol vehicle and then crashed through a church fence near 75th and Glendale avenues. Investigators say the suspect fled on foot, approached a 14-year-old near a Walmart, and took the teen’s shoes and bicycle before officers caught up with him and made an arrest nearby.
Three injured in stabbing near Northern and 55th avenues
Glendale police reported that a fight near Northern and 55th avenues escalated into a stabbing around 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 25. Three people, including a suspect, were injured, and officials said conditions and names had not been released as the investigation continued.
Council vote annexes about 48 acres for Sarival-area industrial development
At its Feb. 24 meeting, the City Council voted to annex two unincorporated parcels on the city’s west side—about 48 acres total—positioning the area for future warehouse and light-manufacturing development near Peoria and Sarival avenues and the Loop 303 corridor. The move also advanced zoning changes, with additional planning steps, reviews, and permits still ahead.
New 24/7 gym opens at Glendale Galleria
