Traffic & public safety
Two people were hospitalized after an early-Sunday motorcycle crash near the Phoenix–Glendale border, at 83rd Avenue and Camelback Road. Investigators said the motorcycle went through a red light and struck a vehicle that had the right of way.
Fire crews took a man and a woman to the hospital in critical condition. Police later said the motorcycle driver had serious injuries but was expected to survive, and the case remains under review as investigators work to confirm additional details.
At the library: a traveling Arizona history exhibit
A traveling museum built into the back of a semitruck made a stop in Glendale, turning a library visit into a pop-up history lesson tied to the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary. The exhibit pairs major moments in U.S. history with Arizona-focused panels and features a large replica Liberty Bell.
Organizers said the Glendale visit included extra activities around the exhibit, from music and food to interactive elements like a scavenger hunt. The traveling display is scheduled to continue to other communities across Arizona in the coming days.
