Arrowhead Towne Center: former Sears redevelopment moves from plans to construction
Work is underway inside the long-vacant Sears space at Arrowhead Towne Center, where a multi-tenant concept branded as ‘The Mosaic’ is taking shape. Plans described in recent reporting point to an Asian-grocery anchor (99 Ranch Market) paired with a cluster of dining and specialty retailers designed to make the northwest Valley a go-to spot for Asian groceries and food.
Developers have not shared a firm opening date yet, and the rest of the mall is expected to keep operating while the buildout continues.
Spring training spotlight: Dodgers edge Team Mexico in Glendale exhibition
Wednesday’s exhibition at Camelback Ranch put Glendale on the spring-training map again, with the Dodgers beating Team Mexico 7–5. The matchup doubled as a tune-up ahead of the World Baseball Classic and drew extra attention beyond a typical Cactus League afternoon.

Glendale Community College highlighted multiple podium finishes for its DECA students at the Arizona state conference. William Nez earned first place in Retail Management, and teammates Joselin Lopez and Shreeya Maduri took second in an Event Planning team event.
The finishes qualify them for the international DECA conference in Louisville in April, a nice local reminder that Glendale’s wins aren’t only on the field.
