North Las Vegas police issued an AMBER Alert early Thursday for 10-month-old Leilani Williams (also reported as Leilani Duke), last seen around 1:40 a.m. near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue.
Police said the child was taken by her father, who they believed was in emotional crisis and had made threats of self-harm. Later Thursday morning, police reported the father was taken into custody without incident and the baby was found unharmed.
Two dead, one injured in neighborhood shooting
Detectives are investigating a predawn shooting that left two men dead and a third hospitalized in a North Las Vegas neighborhood. Police said officers responded around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday to reports of gunfire in the 8000 block of Pink Desert Street.
One victim was taken to University Medical Center, while two others died at the scene. As of the latest update, police said there were no outstanding suspects and asked anyone with information to contact investigators.
Traffic enforcement push brings arrests and citations
North Las Vegas police reported seven arrests and 181 citations during a recent DUI-focused enforcement effort tied to the statewide Joining Forces initiative. Officers also logged more than 200 traffic-enforcement contacts, with citations ranging from speeding and seat belts to child restraint and unsafe lane changes.

Crash caught on camera at local pet store
A North Las Vegas pet shop owner shared surveillance video showing a vehicle crashing through the front wall of the business, sending customers and their dogs scrambling. The owner said the crash appeared to be an accident and thanked the community for support in the aftermath.
