The march began at 11:30 AM at 24th & Lake Street, proceeding to Salem Baptist Church at 3131 Lake Street. Participants gathered to celebrate Dr. King’s vision and discuss ongoing efforts toward social justice and equality.

Mayor John Ewing Jr., Omaha’s first elected Black mayor, served as the grand marshal, emphasizing the city’s commitment to honoring Dr. King’s legacy. The event also recognized local individuals whose leadership and service reflect Dr. King’s principles.
