Kimberly K. Robinson, 66, was arrested Oct. 30 on a warrant charging her with 29 felony counts of animal cruelty after 124 cats were recovered from a Port St. Lucie home, police said.
The investigation began Oct. 13, when Animal Control responded to a home in the 2500 block of Southwest Warwick Street. Police said the 29 counts are based on veterinary findings for the first 29 cats evaluatedโnot all 124. Review of the remaining animals was ongoing in the Oct. 30 update, and police said further charges could be considered.
The 124 total included living and deceased cats, an Oct. 22 WQCS report said. The animals were divided between Port St. Lucie Animal Control and the Humane Society of St. Lucie County for care, according to police reporting.
An earlier WQCS report said two of the homeโs three residents received citations for hoarding and failure to provide medical attention to animals. The animal-cruelty charges against Robinson are allegations, not a finding of guilt.
