Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 5 Freeway
On February 3, 2026, a tragic incident occurred on the southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway near Gene Autry Way in Anaheim. A pedestrian was reported walking in the lanes around 12:45 a.m. and was subsequently struck by multiple vehicles. Despite efforts from the California Highway Patrol and Orange City Fire Department, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been released, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
